Indian Student in usa Host Diwali Night

 MACOMB, IL - - Western Illinois University's Indian Student Association will host its annual Diwali celebration from 6-9 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 12 in the University Grand Ballroom.


The event will include Indian food, music, dance and a narrative into the history and meaning of Diwali. All students, staff and faculty are welcome to attend.

"This event showcases Indian heritage and culture," said WIU Assistant Vice President of Global Studies, Randy Glean. "Indian students comprise the largest delegation on our campus---over 350 strong---and have led the cultural awareness of their rich, ancient heritage that helped to shape the course of modern civilization."
