Small town girl crowned Miss India Multinational



Twenty-three-year-old Divija Gambhir, who hails from Bhawani Mandi, Rajasthan was recently  crowned Miss India Multinational 2021 at  Glamanand Supermodel India held at Kingdom of Dreams, Gurugram. She was crowned by Miss India multinational 2019, Tanvi Malhara and was announced winner by the Nikhil Anand, national director Glamanand. 


 


Gambhir, who is in Jaipur currently, is pursuing her Masters  from Thakur college, Mumbai. 




The beauty with a motive is an animal lover. She started her own community which helps stray dogs find shelter and food. “The idea to lend voice to the voiceless. During the lockdown strays dogs were among the hardest hit. It is sad that many a time they have to sleep without proper shelter and food. I am taking baby steps towards this issue but some day I wish find a bigger platform to address this problem.” she emotes.” My appeal to people is that if they cannot help they animals they should at least abstain from harming them. Also, those who are keen to help should come forward and donate to animal shelter homes.”




Talking about her journey in modelling she says, “The idea behind participating in a beauty pageant was to create an impact on the society and dismiss patriarchal norms.” Gambhir believes that financial independence is one among the many things that women need to strive for. “It is extremely important for an individual to be financially independent. Apart from earning one’s own livelihood it also helps to take charge of one’s decision making.”




Divija is also a trained dancer and enjoys modelling. The young girl earned laurels as she won the sub contests of Best in National Costume and Beauty with a  Purpose.
