PHILADELPHIA, TechGirlz, a program of Creating IT Futures, introduced nowadays that its director, Amy Cliett, has been honored by the PA Conference for Women and Target in their Women's Stories of Hope and Inspiration Celebration.
One of 5 ladies receiving this honor in 2020, Cliett and the other honorees will be identified at the 2020 Virtual Pennsylvania Conference for Women on November 11.
Cliett was once recognized for her work leading the TechGirlz team as they teach and inspire female to explore all the probabilities in technology. Here is an excerpt from the award submission.
"Early in the pandemic, recognizing the greater instructional and social desires that ladies would have throughout stay-at-home orders, Director of TechGirlz Amy Cliett led her team to switch all of their in-person workshops and camps to a digital format in simply 4 days. She and the team worked tough to find a way to make sure that no female overlooked the opportunity to preserve mastering about tech and connecting with other girls involved in tech. As a end result of these speedy changes, TechGirlz has been able to schedule seventy five virtual workshops, 4 week-long digital camps and convert over 50 of the TechGirlz workshop subjects to be held virtually. This project would have been plenty more hard except Amy's guidance, coordination and insights. During all the upheaval to make this rapid change, Amy has been a steadying pressure for her team and the whole TechGirlz community with an open mind, always having an open virtual door policy, being a shoulder for her crew to lean on and an example for the girls and mother and father in the TechGirlz community.
