Husein secured qualification for Olympics

Hughes Hall alumnus and talented rower Husein Alireza (2016, Entrepreneurship) has secured qualification for the upcoming Tokyo Olympics.

It has been a remarkable journey for Husein, who only picked up an oar for the first time back in

 October 2016 whilst he was a student at Hughes Hall. 

Husein will be joining fellow Hughesian, Dara Alizadeh (2017, International Development), in the

 Men’s Single Sculls at this year’s games, with the pair representing Saudi Arabia and Bermuda

 respectively
